Hello! I am Ye Liu (she/her/hers).
I am an assistant professor in the Information Technology Management group at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. I received my PhD from Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington.
I study FinTech and digital platforms, especially topics such as cryptocurrency adoption, social trading, and online networks. Using a mix of econometrics and machine learning, I analyze large-scale platform data to understand how people interact and make decisions online. I am also passionate about exploring how digital platforms can be designed to better serve underrepresented and marginalized communities, helping to create more inclusive digital spaces. More recently, I have become interested in the interactions among AI agents: how their behavior both mimics and diverges from that of humans and why.
I received my bachelor's degree in finance from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Before my Ph.D., I have 3 years of consulting experience, specializing in the technology sector.
